Rock Resorts - How to Overcome Those January Blues
The turkey's been demolished and the word 'diet' springs to mind, the chocolates all gone, the decorations are down! Settling into that same old routine and unable to look out of the window because doom and gloom fills the air, everyone's back at work. And depression sets in. . . . . ) but then January comes . An amazing new year (from what you can remember, we've all had a lovely Christmas, every year is the same!
How do we resolve this terrible depressive state we're stuck in? . . . So.
A healthy body makes for a healthy mind etc etc, o Diet - You could try going on a diet.
Not so soon after christmas anyway, you're not really in the right frame of mind for a diet. . . But.
O Spring Clean - Maybe if you clean the house from top to bottom you'll cheer yourself up slightly.
The kids would just traipse in covered in mud, you're too down in the dumps to clean and even if you did. . . But.
O Family Outings - Keep the whole family entertained and go out for the day to a zoo or maybe a theme park.
Raining and nowhere would be open, windy, its cold, you can't do that. . . But.
O Have a night out - Get the girls together and enjoy a well overdue night out.
They're wrecked forever, be aware that as soon as those gorgeous new satin stilettos touch down into those murky looking puddles! . . But.
You can never have enough outfits, o Go on a shopping spree - Treat yourself to a new outfit.
Plus there's still things hanging in the wardrobe that have never seen the light of day, you can't really justify spending money you haven't got on a new frock! . . But.
Just the two of you, o Tantalise your taste buds - Take the hubby out for a slap up meal.
But there's another favour you owe, or you could phone a friend, you'll have to hire a baby sitter which is bumping up the price of this meal. Who's going to watch the kids? . . But.
You'll be able to play with it for hours on end, o Get yourself a furry friend - Go to the pet shop and get a new pet.
Not for January blues, a pet is for life. You can't take it back after a couple of weeks and you know for a fact you'll definitely be bored with it by then. . . But.
Of course you'll definitely need chocolate and popcorn to go with it, o Rent a DVD - Rent yourself a good old romantic comedy.
And isn't that kind of defeating the object of the whole 'diet' plan, that won't make you feel good for very long. . . But.
Visit a nice family resort or try a caravan park, o Go on a weekend break - Take the family away on a nice weekend trip.
If you're going away for the weekend you're still going to get the same miserable weather. . . But.
They do exist but just take some hard work and commitment from you to find the right one. Book yourself one of those last minute bargain holidays you've been told about a million times. There's your answer, that's it!
